A few experiences

The workshop got concluded well. As always, it was a super fun and learning experience for both the participants and the facilitators.

Here is what the participants would like to share with all:

The point we discussed that "life is an expression of happiness and not a pursuit of happiness" resonated with me the most and gave me something to reflect on - When we search for something it generates a thought in the mind that we don't have it already. In turn, the eternal quest for future happiness generates the thought that we don't already have enough happiness, which leaves us dissatisfied. When we look around us rather than always ahead of us it allows us to express gratitude and thereby happiness for what we already have. When we see how much we already have the feeling of dissatisfaction and hence unhappiness then goes away.

The best teaching for me was that the problem of headache and other tensions is life is due to hatred. I learnt that a person should go beyond culprit consciousness and victim consciousness and move towards compassion . The problem is that the other person does not have that knowledge but also that we also don't have that "prana" to hold the knowledge.Without any reason we begin to hate people whether it is a person on road, relative or neighbourhood, we peek into other people's lives and tell others about it. but not what is going on in our own life. that is called hatred. We were told n the course that when Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living went to meet prisoners in America, the prisoners wept and blamed him for his condition saying had u come in my life earlier I would not have faced this. We need to focus on our work and keep it out of victim and culprit consciousness. Anger gives rise to hatred and vice versa. I was trying to give up hatred fro a long time and this youth course helped me. Live in the present moment and being happy was also taught in the workshop. Because what is within u , you will receive outside. So if there is anger within u you will face it outside and hatred too.
